用法	「中学 2 年の時に」という時, 《主に米国で用いられる》では when one was in the eighth grade [an eighth grader] というが, これは grade が小・中・高校を通した数え方であるところからくる. イギリスでは(アメリカの一部でも)小学 1 年から 6 年までを the first form…the sixth form というところがある. 四年制の大学で 1 年生から 4 年生までを freshman, sophomore, junior, senior というのは《主に米国で用いられる》である.
